The installation method of mechanical seals, the form of mechanical seals, and the types of machinery and equipment are different and different, but the essentials of installation and use are almost the same. Mechanical seals are one of the basic mechanical components with high precision and relatively complex structure types. Installation methods and common precautions are as follows:

1. Assembly of static parts of mechanical seals:

a. Install the anti-rotation pin into the corresponding hole of the sealing end cover;

B. place the static ring sealing ring on the static ring and install the static ring into the sealing end cover. pay attention to make the anti-rotation pin enter the groove of the static ring. When installing and using the gland, be careful not to make the static ring touch the shaft-the bolts need to be tightened evenly in multiple times.

2. Assembly of rotating parts of mechanical seals: assemble the rotating parts of mechanical seals to the shaft one by one in sequence. If there is a shaft sleeve, the rotating parts of the mechanical seal must be assembled on the shaft sleeve in sequence on the outside, and then the shaft equipped with the rotating parts of the mechanical seal must be assembled on the shaft.

3. The end cover is mounted on the sealing body and tightened evenly with screws.

4. Whether the test run is easy and free. If the test run cannot be made or is difficult, check whether the assembly size and specification are reasonable. Installation method:

(1) Check the model specifications of the mechanical seals to be installed, whether the specifications are reasonable and accurate, and whether the parts are missing.

(2) Check whether the components of the mechanical seal are damaged, especially whether the sealing end faces of the moving ring and the static ring are damaged. If damage is seen, repair or replace new parts. The sealed components need to be maintained, cleaned and kept dry with gasoline or kerosene for vehicles, and the surface of each component is free of floating ash and impurities.

(3) The surface of the shaft or shaft sleeve and the inner side wall of the sealing cavity, and the surface of the sealing end cover are burrs, grooves, etc. If you see burrs, the ditch marks should be leveled, polished, and maintained and cleaned with gasoline or kerosene, and scrubbed with clean and soft gauze and absorbent cotton. The surface should not be scratched or bumped. In order to make it easier to install, the oil should be wiped on the surface of the shaft or sleeve, the surface where the gland and the sealing ring cooperate with each other during assembly to prevent dry friction at the moment of starting.
